Data deletion

OrderDM (ORDERDM.AI LTD) automates Instagram messages and comments for shops. This page explains how to delete your account and data – you can do it all yourself, in the app, straight away.
In the app (owners, team members, creators)
Settings → Account (at the bottom) → Delete account, then type DELETE. Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone.
- Only owner: the shop and all its data (products, orders, customers, messages, images) are deleted, together with your sign-in account.
- Co-owner: your account is deleted and the shop stays with its other owners.
- Team member: your account is deleted and you lose access to the shop; the shop stays.
Disconnecting Instagram only
An owner can do this without deleting the account: Settings → Instagram → Disconnect Instagram. The assistant stops straight away and the access key is deleted. You can also remove access in Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → orderDM.ai → Remove.
What’s deleted and what’s kept
- Deleted straight away: your sign-in account, any shop where you’re the only owner with all its data, the assistant’s conversation memory and product images.
- Kept: the monthly total of assistant messages, for billing and statutory records – no customer data and no message content. If billing was on (automatic or by bank transfer), we also keep statements and invoices with invoice details, records of your acceptance of the authorisation for automatic payments, technical payment records and internal billing notes – for as long as accounting and tax rules require (for a UK company, typically 6 years). A saved card is removed from Stripe straight away, or 30 days after deletion if there’s an unpaid invoice. A pseudonymised fingerprint of the Instagram account (if one was recorded) is kept for up to 24 months. Details and periods are in the Privacy policy.
- System logs (technical logs) disappear automatically within 7 days.
If you can’t sign in
Email us at support@orderdmai.com with the subject Data deletion request and include the account email or Instagram username. We may ask you to confirm the account is yours. We delete within 30 days and let you know when it’s done.
Shop customers: if you messaged a shop that uses OrderDM, that shop is the controller of your data – contact the shop directly, or contact us and we’ll help.
